KhmerIME does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
KhmerIME is a Khmer language keyboard that converts romanized input into Khmer script. It works entirely on your device and has no server component.
Nothing. Specifically, KhmerIME does not collect:
KhmerIME makes no network requests. Transliteration, candidate ranking, and the on-device language model all run locally. The app functions identically with no internet connection, because it never uses one.
On iOS, keyboards can request a permission called Full Access, which would allow a keyboard to send what you type off the device. KhmerIME does not request Full Access and does not need it for any feature. Without it, the keyboard extension is technically unable to transmit your keystrokes anywhere.
KhmerIME keeps a small typing history locally so that words you commit are ranked higher next time. This stays in the app's private storage on your device, is never uploaded, and is removed when you uninstall the app.
KhmerIME contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
KhmerIME is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
KhmerIME's engine and keyboard are open source. You can verify every claim on this page by reading the code at github.com/darhnoel/khmerime.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Any change that involved collecting data would also require a new app release and an updated privacy disclosure on the App Store.
